The 40 year old carb finally died so we replaced it and it’s running amazing now no more weird starts!

I might sometime later but right now it’s a driver that needs to be driven. I’m keeping all the parts that come off the engine for sure though and cleaning them up.

What carb was on it and what was it replaced with?

It sounds just as good as it looks!

bet it feels like a different car now behind the wheel, when I swapped carbs on the 68 last year, felt like I added 100hp in the butt gauge.

I haven’t gotten to drive it much because I had to leave back to school the day we got it done I drove it around the block and that was it.

780 Cfm Motorcraft Spread bore and matching intake, replaced with 600 CFM Quick fuel normal bore and a 1970 Torino GT intake

Oh! Nice choice on the replacement!

Man, I think I’ve seen two of those Motocraft Quads in my lifetime.

They were only used in 1973 and 1972 and that was it and I think only on the Q-Code 351 as well.

Another example of crazy high CFM isn’t always needed.

Did it feel like the power was comparable?

I only have a 400 CFM 4 barrel on the Montego.

Will do, but I’m going to be working over springbreak but I may have my parents bring it down.
